The Obama administration of US has reportedly urged the international community to consider outbreaks of diseases like Ebola, MERS and other deadly scourges as nothing short of global security threats that needs broad as well as quick responses for protecting the safety of populations as well as  economies.
Top US officials of the White House, the Defense based Pentagon as well as State Department had ma meeting with representatives from 44 nations and also multilateral agencies, including the UN and World Bank, calling for implementation of 7-year-old document on global standards to deal with deadly epidemics and dangers, even including aspects like biological attacks.
